Check the title before you bid
The Sheriff says it is the purchaser's responsibility to check the property for back taxes, delinquent utility bills and liens; properties are sold as is (Montgomery County Sheriff). The first question for any bidder is what is recorded against the property: unreleased mortgages, judgment liens, code enforcement and other government liens.
A HeritageDeed title report for the address lists the deeds, the mortgages matched to their releases and the liens of record. Use "Check the title before you bid" on a row to start one with the address filled in.

The Treasurer's tax sales are held in person at 10 AM on the first Thursday of the month at 451 W. Third St., Dayton, with a $1,000 deposit plus transfer and recording fees (Montgomery County Sheriff).
- Until the court confirms the sale, the debtor may redeem the property by paying the judgment, costs and 8 percent interest on the purchase money (R.C. 2329.33).
